1971 Blazer 4x4 Factory AC Bracket and Water Pump question
My 71 Blazer was originally equiped with AC, but the previous owner took the compressor and all of the brackets out of the truck. I later picked up a complete AC assembly and am in the process of putting it back in. The one thing that I can't quite figure out is if there is a special fitting for the connection to the water pump. The fitting I have sits right between the two bolts for the water pump and subsequently, between the two bracket mounting points for the AC. It really doesn't seem as if there's enough room to put the hose on the fitting with these brackets/bolts so close. Is there a special fitting for AC equiped vehicles?

That hose fitting is plugged on mine. Coming out of the waterpump I only have the large hose that goes to the radiator. The heater hoses connect to the top of the manifold and to the radiator. I'm pretty sure mine is a stock set up as most of the truck is stock.

Would it be possible to see a picture of how it's routed and where it connects to the radiator?

Hey Bouncy truck, if you get a few minutes, could you post up some pics. of the rad. fitting? I will be running an electric water pump and there is no provision for the heater hose. The manu. said to run a tee off the rad., but never heard or saw one....
Sorry to highjack, thought it might be related. J.

here's some pics of the ac bracket with the H2O pump. Also the heater hose going into the radiator.

Thanks! You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of the hose routing over the wheel well would you?

It appears as if that's an automatic transmission specific configuration (as per the service manual).

Yup, mine's an auto.
Sorry, didn't see your post about the additional photos until now, and sorry, I'm too lazy to go outside now.
