question for 4x4 header experts!! please help!

Hey,

I just put a 700R4 in my truck. The tranny is 1.75 inches longer than the previous T350, so i moved the engine forward by this amount. (engine =350 with cheapo headers)

the problem i'm having that i didn't expect with the engine moved forward this slight amount is the cheapo header on the driver side is now touching the frame.

Can anyone recoomend a set of headers that will give me the clearance i need with the engine in this location.

OR can someone with a 4x4 with a small block in the stock postion with headers look and guestimate if their engine were this amount forward if they would have clearance with their header. And let me know what type of header you are using.

Thanks so much.

Tom

I can't remember what brand of header is in my '69. I do know that I have to say lots of cusswords in order to take it out or put it in. I'm pretty sure that it's already really close to the frame. I won't be back home until Sunday, but I'll try to remember to look and see what brand it is so you can be sure not to get the same.
