I have my new Crate installed and was wondering what kind of horse power I am making its a 260hp goodwrench crate 1406 carb with matching intake full length headers dual super 40 flowmasters Accel distributer and Accell Super coil. could someone give me an estimate on the horsepower numbers as well as the torque numbers

In all honesty you will be right at or about 260 hp just as they state the numbers to be.

Maybe a little bit more on the top end with your headers and free flowing muffles and intake. If I was to put a number on it I would put it at about 275 to 290hp range MAX and that is pushing it.

The 260hp GM crate is rated at 350 ft.lb. of torque.

All around GR8 truck engines though IMO.

RJ22...

EDIT: these are a GR8 base for add-on mods also, the limiting factors are the cam and heads. You could bump up commpression while doing these mods in the futuer real easy to make some real nice HP

yea, that engine is advertised to have 260 hp and 350 ft/lbs of torque "with four barrel carb and headers" so thats prolly about where you're at.
