New Member, Looking for pictures of Matching Trailer
My Dream Rig is a longbed matching (made out of another longbed) trailer behind my longbed '68 2wd. I'm not even sure if there's anything to haul that would require that much bed space, but I think it would look killer.
Does anyone have pictuers of this kind of setup? /g |

Re: New Member, Looking for pictures of Matching Trailer
I just came in to see where you were from. You're in the west.
If you were from the south, you would realize that this is just the poor redneck way of making a trailer, and really doesn't look as good as you might conceive. Anyhow - got a side shot of your truck? I'll photoshop you one. If not, I'll just do a '68 LWB I find on the board. DLB |

I think one done tactfully and lowered to the same stance as the truck would look good.. I'd like to see pics also

Re: New Member, Looking for pictures of Matching Trailer
extd56...why a '59 or is that a '58 when your name says '56 and you have a '57? My head hurts...LOL! I have always wondered what to do with the front of the box since it really looks quite unfinished! I was thinking about a trailer like that for my Longhorn using my extra Longhorn bed and frame.

Re: New Member, Looking for pictures of Matching Trailer
my problem with pikup beds trailers is that usually the people who have them never worry about the trailer needing new springs, or shocks,,most of the time they dont even have working lights..out here in utah, these idiots have decided lets put a 12 foot cab over camper on them..uh no...i wouldnt want to pull them with a campe on them...my dad was the worst for buying one to move across country, but my dads idea has always been if it is broke dont fix it. one time i helped him move from arkansas to north carolina..he used his 67 or 68 chevy 1/2, flat bed, (somebody had just taken the bed sides off and raised bed floor up and welded over the wheel openings) any way he picked up this raggy pickup bed trailer, wore out suspension, truck was to by the way, and headed across country. had over $10,000 of registered dogs in a cage he had built to transport them, i followed in his 77 new yorker..i died several time on that trip,,the truck would wobble one way, and the trailer the other..but he made it..i told him never again..the cage he built was worth more than the trukc and trailer together...that ol truck made several moves like that to...sorry to high jack the thread, but this is how i see these trailers..most of them are dangerous, and the way they weld up the tongues on them, are bad on some of them..just my opion...

Re: New Member, Looking for pictures of Matching Trailer
I was thinking of a SWB trailer with matching rims for my SWB truck... I saw a local cabinet shop with one and you just reminded me to call him...

Re: New Member, Looking for pictures of Matching Trailer
There has been a couple in Truckin' over the past years - one was a white truck and trailer with matching flames on the fronts... lowered, shaved... looked really nice. The truck and the trailer both had matching hard tops on pistons... I'm no good and going back to find that kind of thing but I've seen them there...
