Need shifter info

I had a Hurst Indy Shifter in my truck when it was a 6 w/3 speed. Shifted great. One thing that happened on mine that made it loose was the bolts holding the shifter onto the linkage came loose (I didn't use lock tight first time).

If the shifter rods are hooked up wrong you will get the second displayed pattern, but I won't tell you why I know this

I am not sure what the difference is between the Indy and Mastershift models, but I do know someone who used a Mr Gasket version of the shifter, and it was pretty sloppy, but may just have need the rods adjusted too.
