converting my 1970 c20 to a c10

I need information on how to convert my 1970 c20 to a c10. Do the rear axle mounts on the c10 match up with the mounts on a c20?

What parts do I need to change in the front to go from a c20 drum to a c10 disk? Do I need to go to a scrap yard (if so, what am I looking for) or is there a kit on the market that will accomplish this?

There are kits to accomplish your goal; I think ECE (www.earlyclassic.com) sells them, but they're not cheap. You can pull the complete crossmember from a 73-87 1/2 ton truck and do the swap yourself. The best place to start your research is the FAQ (http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=157669) You will find a lot of info here on the disc swap. There was a thread I saw just the other day regarding this swap, but I can't find it now. Hope this helps you some.
