Lightbulb Blazer roll bar source

I have recently purchased a couple of Blazers -'72 rust bucket & a decent '69. No rollbar in either one. Does anyone know where to get one or knockoff? We've got a decent machine shop - is there any demand for knockoffs if we make a few? Thanks for the site - it has been very helpful!!

Re: Blazer roll bar source

First, welcome to the board from Seattle. We'd love to see pics of your Blazers.

The only place that I have heard that still makes them is http://www.swracecars.com/. You can find them used on places like the parts board here, the parts board on CK5.com and Pirate4x4.com and I've seen quite a few on Craigslist. If you become a subscribing member, you can post a "want to buy" thread on the parts board here too.

The demand doesn't seem to warrent making extras from what I've seen. Guys either find them at the sources I listed above, or have the skills to build their own.

Re: Blazer roll bar source

Thank you for the response. I'm looking forward to working on these. We just bought a '71 w/air, auto, and a roll bar. We are going to pull it out & make a couple more for our other trucks - I guess I got a $4000 roll bar!

Were the other two on craigslist? I remember seeing a listing that sounds like what you have. There was an orange 69 in the photo that looked like a decent truck.

Re: Blazer roll bar source

I don't know if they were on Craigs list or not. The '72 came from Colorado Springs - it is factory 4 speed A/C blazer - I bought from ebay - sent 23 year old son to pickup & said if different than description come home without it - it is much rustier than I expected - the newest may be the best although need front discs & a little floor work. If anyone wants the '72 I'm going to try to sell for the $3500 I paid for it - I can't weld so it is going to sit until I learn how or sell it.
