Re: whos runnin rear ord shackles

I have one on my 69 K20. I pull a trailer with it occassionally and mostly drive the truck on road rather than off road. I can't tell that it handles any different. Only thing I dont like is how it moves the axle forward a bit. No big deal to me since I switched to a flatbed.

Re: whos runnin rear ord shackles

I have them on my 72 K5. I swapped them left to right so as to offset them to the rear and put on a set of later model 63" springs. The only thing I notices is they don't seem to quite line up with the springs. I have to pull the springs in toward the frame to get them in the shackel. I am going to put a piece of 1/4" plate between the frame and the hangers and it should line up better. Right now it is wearing out the inside spring bushings.
