ZZ4 & 700R4 install
Finally, last week the engine and transmission are back in. A little bit of rewiring, some more painting, fluids and bolts on still left.
 There are a few modifications. Checkout the custom made transmission crossmember. The Chevelle headers have plenty of clearance from the frame. The Edlebrock TV/Throttle bracket was also modified to fit the higher RPM Air gap manifold.  I also opted for the lower width serpentine belt system. The lower width should allow enough room to run the dual snorkel Ram Air Box setup.  Next up: fuel pump connection, fuel line routing, power hose routing, wiring harness clean up and firewall clean up. I'm ready to start up the truck. Poor truck has been down since Late October. I'm half-way there to getting her back on the street.

Any idea on the type of altenator on the serpentine belt setup? The setup is off a 96 Blazer. However my 96 Jimmy has a different style. I need to know the type so I can buy an adaptor for the wiring harness.
Double the HP from the 305 so double the fun on roasting the tires.

Looks good
. I have already installed a zz4 with the gm serp kit. I love the combo, I just ordered a 700r from bowtie overdrives. The tranny and accesories are expensive but I believe they will be worth it. If you have any questions feel free to pm me......

I'll call you when I get a chance. I do need some info on certain hose and wiring routing. I'll post detailed pictures of the TV bracket. I had it welded up because the RPM Air Gap intake is much higher than other intakes. The modified bracket is necessary for the Edelbrock carb. Oh, I changed my signature so it's easier to keep an eye on my progress.
