correct way to repair upper front shock mounts ?
The holes are too big and elongated from loose shocks flopping around over the years ..what is the right solution ..? someone suggested welding big thick waskers over ..but I dont want to weld this area if I can help it ..
other than that my 69 short box CST is doing great with its new front discs and really hauls ass now with the right carb and distibutor curve for the ole 396 ..it goes so fast now its silly .. thanks for any idias on the shock mounts ..these trucks are awesome and so simple to work on I will probably never go new again .. |

Re: correct way to repair upper front shock mounts ?
cpp sells a bracket for the front shocks to keep that from happening, but I am not sure if it will fix the problem, but the bracket is only $20-25 so it is worth looking into...Randy
