whats the gear ratio?
I have a 77 3/4 ton 4x4 with a open rear end, whats the best way to figure out the gear ratio. thanks

The only way to know for sure is remove cover and count the ring gear teeth and then the pinion gear teeth and divide.
You can lift the rear and turn the tire one revelution and count the number of turns of the driveline but not always accurate that way.

Or get the numbers off the ring gear and use this chart:
That's alot easier than counting teeth... Lift ONE tire only, then count driveshaft revolutions during TWO full rotations of the tire.
