Question Where does your truck rattle?

Is it possible to have a rattle free 4x4? I have replaced the cab mounts, new ss bed to frame bolt kit, tightened every bolt I can find, and still have some small rattles. Where are these trucks prone to rattle? What's normal? How is yours?

Re: Where does your truck rattle?

mine clunks in the floorboards bad... havent figured that one out yet, all good bushings, new cab mounts, all bolts tight, yet it still shifts hard enough to mess with the clutch

also has a bad rattle from somewhere around the t-case, i think its the slop in the shifter though

Re: Where does your truck rattle?

I also re-did my windows, and that stopped alot. There are still some squeaks, and slite rattles. I even put new hood stops in. Where else can a truck make noise? I have the deluxe trim, so that might be some of it.

A 4wd without rattles,and such? I've never heard of such a thing!
Mine doesnt rattle, but its only half done so far If anything does, its the 205 shifter, its got some play in it...The motor will make the other noises go away though
BTW,like the new color VA_TLC No more being pink...

Re: Where does your truck rattle?

i get a lot from tailgate internals, and a hard clunk on most bumps. i'm thiking it might be the armor on the rear gas tank...

Re: Where does your truck rattle?

i've got a poping noise coming from around the steering box. i dont think its the box itself since i've replaced it before, but it may be the bracing around that area.

Found some more on the inner fender wells. Alot of bolts in there, check them. Every single one.

Re: Where does your truck rattle?

No rattles really, only an annoying itch/squeak noise from the ashtray. The D rings on the rear bumper rattle a bit when off road but a piece of heater hose helped quieted that down. Got plenty of gear noise, Detroit locker pop and Superswamper tire noise though.
