removing wipers
Was going to do some cowl cleaning on the 69 and couldn't remove the wipers - I didn't see any tabs to press up to remove them - if they (the tabs) are gone and I screwed?
Any and all help appreciated... Thanks Tom |

Re: removing wipers
They should just "pop" off. Try putting a towel and a small block of wood on the cowl and use a pry bar to gently lift them off. I'm not sure if any PB Blaster or similar product might give you a little more release.

Re: removing wipers
they look normal to me, wiper removal can be a PITA, but make sure and do what bouncy suggests to protect your paint. I use a smaller flat blade screw driver and work the tab....hold your mouth just right and walla! never tried the block of wood trick

Re: removing wipers
Or get one of these! It works very well. Hook it and pull the arm off. I just wish I could remember where I bought it. To long a go.

Re: removing wipers
I was always told to lift wiper then pry. I'm pretty sure that's how the tool works to.

Re: removing wipers

Re: removing wipers
I put screen in mine, but It cut the air flow to the vents so much I took it out. The tool allows you to pull up the arm evenly, works slick.
