Has anyone who has incorporated crossover with high steering ever cut the old tie tod mounts off their knuckles on a Dana 44. They look kinda stupid now just pooking out in space with nuthin bolted to them.

Any thoughts, imput or better yet pics?

I see them cut all the time, just leave a small stub sticking out so you don't weaken the web.

Re: Cutting knuckles, news at eleven!

I just finished doing a high steer crossover on my dana 60 and thought about doing the same thing. I ended up leaving mine just in case I decide to sell the truck I can always convert it back and keep the crossover setup for another vehicle.

I look at leavin em like insurance. You are guaranteed to break your hihgh steer the first time out after you cut em.

If I break my high steer ORD will be hearing from me LOL. Seems like even if you cut them they still look a little funny and unfinished.
