3 speed trans
HHHEEELLLPPP i want to convert my 70 C10 SWB to a Turbo 350 and wanted to know if i need a new cross member or can i use the one from the 3 speed trans any help.

I think you need one,at least I did for changing from 4spd to 350. I never did the switch so if you want to swing by I'll give it to you. -(in Studio City)

I had only a bellhousing crossmember from my 3 speed. If yours is the same, I'd say you definitely need a new crossmember for a TH350.

my 3spd used a totally different crossmember, and it was in a completely different location. 3spd is farther forward and has two mounting points, offset from center (one on the left, one on the right). auto mounts in the very middle of the crossmember, and about a foot farther back.

there's one on e-bay #290136559378. looks like everthing you need for a complete conversion. If nothing else, look at the picture!
