Try William C. Durant. He had a big hand in creating the conglomeration that became General Motors. Louis Chevrolet is another name to try. Try the Oakland automobile, the Brush (which became the Oakland) and the fact that the Oakland became the Pontiac. Ransom E. Olds is another. Cadillac and LaFayette. David Dunbar Buick....another name. General Motors Truck, Yellow Coach and Bus Co., are more names to search. Harley Earl is, of course, famous for his designs. Try the terms, "turret top" and you may find out more.

Henry Leland may yield some info. He was actually affilitated with Lincoln, before it was owned by Ford. But he had some kind of relationship with Cadillac, I believe.
