Sell it complete or sell it in pieces?

I am thinking of sticking a for sale sign on my 1969 GMC stepside. The question is: Do I sell it as a complete truck, or do I try to part it out? The bad thing is that I have started pulling it apart to move everything over to another chassis.

I'm in the same boat. My 72 is in pretty clean shape, so I'm just going to sell it as is. Parting it out will take a lot more effort....negotiate on this and that, meet up with this person, call this person, be here at this time, bla bla bla. Much easier sanity wise to sell it complete.

I agree. I just posted it on the classified forum. I don't really know if I am asking too much for it, but I would like to get my money back out of the deal. I dont' really know how much of a loss to take. I don't really want to take one at all. Since now I will have to go out a buy another vehicle.

i think to get the most you need to sell piece by piece for new in the box stuff you should be able to get $.75 per dollar for what you paid// i had really good luck selling off truck stuff on the area craiglists and also at the monthly swapmeet at webster(they startup again in sept)// rarely do people break even on abandoned projects

If the body and frame and what ever else you want to sell with it are in good shape,I say sell it completely. If there is rust I would sell whats good and junk the rest.
