Front Axle ?
Another question for you fellers. What years front axles will fit the 72 K10 I just bought. I think it's a Dana 44 in there now. Do the 73-87's also bolt up or just the 67-72's? Thanks again, big

Re: Front Axle ?
The 73-86 will work. If you get a 10 bolt make sure to get all the ubolts and spring plate there a different size but will bolt right in with them.

Re: Front Axle ?
sure do.... Here is a little write up I did on the differences between the two.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=240456 Cheapest route is to find a junked K-10 and pull the axle, brakes, steering (arm, drag link, box, pump if you need them all), spring plates and if you're lucky (or patient) then you can find the same gear ratio as the rear. Click on my build thread and you'll see my corp10 from an 82 now sitting under my 68.
