Rear suspension options for '62???

Does anybody have any success stories or ideas for the rear suspension on a '62 SWB. I like the idea of 4 link, but there doesn't seem to be much available without major fab (or so it seems). I want it dropped, but laying frame isn't my main concern. I'd like a low, mean stance that handles well. Planning for bags all around, either a Porterbuilt Dropmember (once he has one available for '62's) or a doner sub frame up front, probably with strong arms. But i'm stuck on the back end. I would prefer a tringulated 4 link to eliminate a panhard bar or watts link (much cleaner look, IMHO), but is it possible? Also, an somebody explain the difference in frames from 60-62 and 67-on. Pics or build threads would be HUGELY appreciated.

Re: Rear suspension options for '62???

Probably the biggest difference between the '60-'62 frames and the '63 and up frames is the big 'X' member that is in between the frams rails. As for suspension recomendations that depends on your fabrication skills. Currently I'm working on a '67 for a customer that I am installing an Art Morrison triangulated 4 bar in. Definitely not for an inexperienced fabricator. Another option would be a prefabbed rear frame assembly that is already setup with whatever suspension you want....but there again, some welding and fab work involved.
Otherwise I would suggest just going with some dropped coils, shocks and adjustable panhard.
