47-55 weight?

What does a 3 window shortbed with a MII frontend weight? I`m guessing about 3500lbs? sound about right?

Re: 47-55 weight?

The reason I ask is I`m still trying to buy this truck from this old man I know and I`m getting a great running 327 from another friend and I figured if the weight is close, it should run just as good in the old truck if I gear it the same. Thanks.

What BHP is the 327? What are your plans for the pick up?

I don`t know the hp rating of the motor but it would probably run high to mid 13`s in my buddys chevelle. My plans are pretty much just to drive it but I want to burn up some tires sometimes too, lol.

deabt54,yeah that does help alot. i plan to run a th350 and a 9" so the weights should be similar. Are you running the stock fronend or a MII set up?
