drum to disc brake ?
just wondering if all the disc spindles will work on the drum brake control arms

Thats what I did. Should work fine. I went to 73 and up ball joints and spindels on mine.

they just mounted didrectly to your existing drumb control arms? or was it the whole fromt X-member?

The replacement control arms are the same part # for 67-72 in the lmc catalog. 71-72 came with front disc. You dont need to change the crossmember either.

The spindles are a direct bolt in. You will lose a little bit of turning radius unless you grind away the stops a little bit though.
The tie rod ends and sleeves are a different story though. Those will not fit. I think there is a thread or 2 floating around with the ones that will make it all work though. |
