Some progress.....Finally!!
I hired a new body and paint man a couple months ago. When he picked it up he told the first 6-10 weeks would be slow without alot of progress. It ok with me though. He's already done more in 2 months than the first two guys did in a year combined. I've not had alot of time on the board lately. I've had internet problems and just been real busy at work. We took these pictures around the first of June. He has the rockers, cab corners, gas filler hole, and whatnot holes filled and welded up. He also has the front sheet metal installed and lined up in these pics.
I talked to him yesterday. He said he has the truck moved to his other shop where he has the paint stripped and has been using filler. He said he should have it all in primer in the next two weeks. After he gets it in primer, he'll take it all apart and let us have the chassis back so we can install the engine/tranny/driveshaft while he does the work on the bed and rear fenders. It's starting to get exciting now that I can actually see something done. I'll get more pics the next time I go see the truck's progress.

Re: Some progress.....Finally!!
Last Saturday, the painter had finished the body and prep work and disassembled everything. He brought just the chassis back for me to install the engine/drivetrain. He also took the bed back with him to start working on it. He called Wednesday evening and needed some more parts, so I got to go and take some more progress pics. He has the cab, doors, and all front sheetmetal in primer. He had the bed took apart, stripped, the stake pockets and ends filled. He had the rear fenders stripped and was working them while we were there. He said we should see paint within two weeks.
Anyway, here are pics.

Definitely moving along now. That is going to be sharp when the paint gets on it.
I wouldn't mind having those other rides my self.

Nope. It's gonna be Atlantic Blue off the late model Dodge trucks. Here are some samples of the color.
