k5 bedside question

i have found some undesirable things under the bondo on the right bedside on my k5.looks like it made contact with a pole at one time and has been cut and patched back together.......very poorly
i really just need the back half of the panel, but top to bottom....and really only want the outside skin, not the whole bedside panel..
my question is....can i just use a truck bedside to patch with?
ive got a shortbed i could cut up....or do i need a blazer side...??
thanks in advance for any guidance...

That area should be the same. The only difference I know of is up front where the bed side attaches to the door jamb.

Wheel opening to tail is the same on both. Unless you get a used bedside to fix it with or a complete bedside, the largest panel I know of is the complete wheel arch which is 30" each way from the center of the wheel arch and 23" high from the bottom. I can get that repair panel.
