vss on a 84 c10?
anyone know if a 84 gmc loaded 2wd has a vss? thot i seen a small box directlly behind instrument cluster, buts been so long since i last crawled under there and dont know if thats it. hooking up a nav unit.

Yes, it should. The VSS buffer plugs in to the back of the speedometer head, and sends a signal to the ECM.

ok cool thanx. found 3 wires coming out beside speedo cable going to a small bright yellow or green module. is that the vss?

That is the buffer, that converts the light pulses to an electric signal.

ok excuse me for being a little dense lol. the vss is inside cluster with the yellow black and pinkishblack wires to buffer? vss= vehicle speed sensor
