Re: How Many`71 SWB?
I would think that would be pretty rare if you have one.

Re: How Many`71 SWB?
Jeff is right on the short k10 fleetside production numbers.
Luckily mine was originally a stepside so its production number was less--1438 Last edited by 1969k10stepside; 07-16-2007 at 11:44 PM. |

Re: How Many`71 SWB?
Would that be just 6 cyls? How about KE10734s?Uh Dustin, you`d be lucky if you had kept it original. Both numbers are low. But,means nothing if it ain`t,now, what it once was.

Re: How Many`71 SWB?
I looked over my list of production numbers and for some reason all the SWB 4wds had the "KS".The list has the 3/4 ton with "KE" though
Mine was originally a 6 cylinder to so the numbers were probably lower but now the truck's a v8 fleetside...Of all of them, you have to figure rust, wrecks, and other things have destroyed atleast 1/4 of them |

Re: How Many`71 SWB?
Is that 3068 for all '71 SWB K10's no matter what engine size it had?

I would assume the numbers are posted of 71 K10 SWB regardless of motor.
Here is a portion of part of my list of production numbers.This is for 71 1/2-Ton Commercial 4x4 - Model K/Series 10 - 115-in. w.b MODEL BODY TYPE PRICE WEIGHT PROD.TOTAL KS10734 Fleetside 6.5ft 3414 3824 3068 KS10704 Step-Side 6.5ft 3414 3739 1438 Note the "KS" which we asume means 4wd w/ 6 cylinder. Now,here is 71 K20 production numbers: 3/4-Ton Commercial 4x4 - Model C/Series 20 - 127-in. w.b MODEL BODY TYPE PRICE WEIGHT PROD.TOTAL KE10903 Chassis & Cab 3641 3659 509 KE10904 Step-Side 8ft 3804 4061 674 KE10934 Fleetside 8ft 3804 4156 10066 KE10906 Suburban(doors) 4530 4414 256 KE10906 Suburban(gate) 4538 4414 353 Notice the "KE".Maybe they think "S" is 1/2 ton and "E" is 3/4 ton? Dont know.. Here is the list I have seperate of the swb K10 production numbers 67-72.It doesnt give a motor specification though. 1967 K10 Fleetside 6.5ft 1046 1967 K10 Step-Side 6.5ft 1229 1971 K10 Step-Side 6.5ft 1438 1968 K10 Fleetside 6.5ft 1449 1970 K10 Step-Side 6.5ft 1629 1969 K10 Fleetside 6.5ft 1649 1969 K10 Step-Side 6.5ft 1698 1968 K10 Step-Side 6.5ft 1706 1972 K10 Step-Side 6.5ft 1736 1970 K10 Fleetside 6.5ft 2554 1971 K10 Fleetside 6.5ft 3068 1972 K10 Fleetside 6.5ft 6069 Last edited by 1969k10stepside; 07-17-2007 at 09:03 AM. |

Re: How Many`71 SWB?
Dustin,
My '68 K20 LWB is "KE" '71 K10 SWB is "KE" It just gets so confusing.

Re: How Many`71 SWB?
I think that number is total going by other production numbers.I guess since a six is the basis, they go by that,KS.Even though there is a standard eight/KE model(307),it is still an upgrade model. They have to use some model number for reference.
