Yeah - but I figured the process to remove the ignition cylinder from the dash without damaging it would still be good.
And it was in the FAQ at one point - shouldn't we try to recover the information so that the group can use it. |

I didn't even look at that. Sometimes I don't if I don't see anything to clue me off. DLB |

I will repost the info tomorrow. The problem with the link in my original post is that our telecomunications provider sold out to another company and it screwed up all of my web sites, so I had to rebuild them. LockDoc

Re: Text between pics?
No keys here - I had them until last Monday. Didn't realize they were gone until Wednesday night -
I did a search and thought I hit the jackpot - then I saw the dead link in the post and couldn't find it anywhere else on the board... Figured I would inquire and see... Thanks everybody! I plan to keep the current cylinder and get a replacement key cut at a locksmith - so I have an extra in my stash. |

I will post the web page here and then try to change my original post in the FAQ. Remember... The easiest way to get a replacement key for the ignition will be to pull out the passengers door lock, write down the code numbers from the lock case and take them to your local locksmith shop (or take the lock with you) and get a key cut from the code. If you are a long way from a locksmith shop you can PM me the code number and your address and I will send you a key for 5 bucks postage paid.... Here is the link to the article.... http://members.zumatel.net/dgpurdum4...formation.html LockDoc

Re: removing the ignition switch?
Thank you LockDoc! Now I have something to work on tonight and tomorrow evening!
My door keys and ignition were not keyed the same - so I needed to get a matching set anyway (being shipped when they come in) Last edited by lks dcvn; 07-19-2007 at 01:36 PM. |
