Thumbs up **SOLD*1969 GMC 1/2 Ton, 2wd, 5 bolt 5on5 axles, leaf rear Ring, Pinion, Posi Carrier

SOLD TO suville

I have completed the rear end swap in my truck. The swap was done to get longer legs on the highway, from a 3.73 to a 3.08.

Now for sale is the replaced Ring, Pinion and Posi Carrier. I had no trouble with this setup- ran quiet and smooth, no noise, no metal in the oil when removed.

The bearing races are stamped:
Made in USA KX NDH LM603812

The pinion sleeve is unmarked

The pinion is stamped:
3884335
11:41
12 69 GM
The number 4 is marked in crayon or paint

The Ring / Pinion is stamped:
30060
188 or 881
A??A STE?L
ED
a circle with a cross inside and a 1
3817778
11:41
12 69 GM
4J
J B or 3 K

I have seen several posts that say the 12 bolts are all the same inside. THIS IS NOT TRUE. I bought what was advertised as a 2.92 that would work in my truck. It did NOT. My understanding of the two ring/pinion sets that were/are in my truck is that the 3.08 and lower gears are a smaller size than the 3.73 and larger gears. The 2.92s ended up being 3.08 and required a new carrier ($450 from Randy's Ring and pinion). No bargain after paying $150 for the ones that don't fit.

I will post pics in a couple of hours.

I am looking for $300 plus shipping estimated at $75 via UPS. As always if shipping is less overage will be refunded.

Will consider trade for Holley 4160 750 CFM vac second, w/electric choke in near-perfect condition
or
Holly Street Avenger 750 CFM, w/electric choke in near-perfect condition. Not interested in anything else.

All communication here in this thread please- NO PMs will be answered until after sale.

I checked everything I could while wiping the parts down- there are no cracks or chips or wear spots or other foreign marks on anything.
I believe the new owner will be very happy when they get this installed, specially if you are replacing a one legger

Hey, suville, nice to hear from you. Hope all is going well for you and that you get home as expected.
Your new hood is doing fine, waiting patiently in the dry back shed.
best regards!
