Original Jack location

I have the original Jack that goes with my Blazer. Also a couple of springs and funny looking metal hooks that go with it. My Question is Where does it go, how does it mount on to the Blazer? Behind the front driver seat? behind the rear seat or spare tire carrier ? Replies much appreciated!

Re: Original Jack location

It goes behind the driver's seat on the vertical part before the bed. I don't have any pictures, but if you do a search you should be able to find some. I know LUV just posted one a week or so ago.

Re: Original Jack location

Believe the jack crank and the tire iron goes on that rear vertical panel behind the drivers seat---with the spring holding them in place. the jack mounts under the rear seat or under the interior spare mount---also held in place by a spring. We have a copy of the original jack mounting label that mounts to the drivers side inner wheel housing----somewhere here.

Threadjacked:
in reference to the label (which is very helpful) mine has remnants of that label on the back of the driver's side wheel well. But, there is also evidence of another label, same size, on the pass. side well. was it the same label?

Re: Original Jack location

Colin,

No idea, GM did crazy stuff so yours might have got 2 labels

We have been trying to get this one reproduced, all of the
ones in the truck books are for pick-up and not blazers

cstanley, If your blazer came from the factory with option #G80 - positraction rear axle, the label remnants on your right rear wheel tub could be from this label:
