Post 72 4bbl cleaner Q

ok who knows for sure if by 72 model year if air cleaner assembly vacuum motors were used on these or not ? also with the air temperature vacuum line sensor switch deal inside the breather assembly, and were these breather snorkels supposed to point at 3 or 4 o clock or so position ?

just checking, thanks

My 72 points to 4 o'clock, and it has tabs that make it point that way. What do you mean by vacuum motors? Mine has a vacuum valve that makes it get heated air off the exhaust when the motor is cold.

i think that one is 2bbl, the first url pic soesnt work at all, thats pointing at 7 or 8 o clock, so hmm....

vacuum motor is that thing on the snorkel with vacuum line going to it from the temp sensor switch thats mounted inside the bottom of the base of the cleaner.

i shoulda realized that these trucks did have stovepipes on them originally, so they owuld have to have vacuum motors then, theres hno other way, just didnt realize they did that so early on.

thanks guys

as far as I know, the only thing that's not original on my '72 350 4bbl is the a/c.

Fast, i am about 99.9% sure that the air cleaner i sold you is original to my '72. It looks like several other ones i have seen on these trucks.
