Need some pictures or advice

Well all day i have been messing around with my bed trying to figure out how i am going to mount the bed and how am i going to get clearance for the tires in the bed. I was hoping someone had some pics of what they had to notch out to make room for the rims and tires too tuck. I am thinking about cuting out the inside of the bedside then making some little braces to support the inner side of the bedside. I hope that makes sence. Also was curious on those who have raised the floor of there bed. Did you make new angle brackets for the wood to bolt to or did you cut off the originals and relocate them? One more question. Since i sold my original frame i am not to sure how the bed bolts to the frame. I know i have to make brackets but not sure where they go. Does anyone have pics of there bed before they put wood in so i can see how it is supported. Man i have alot running through my mind right now so sorry if some of this didn't make much sence.

Josh

Re: Need some pictures or advice

Here are some pics to help everyone on what i need help with. My thought is that i could notch out the innerside of the bedside to allow room for the tire but wasn't sure if that was what everyone was doing or does everyones wheels are narrow enough that it clears the inner side of the bedside. I hope that makes sence. Any comments would be much appreciated. Thanks

Josh

Re: Need some pictures or advice

If I remember n2billet cut out that area where the tire is rubbing on his truck. I don't know if he cut it out completely or not. Maybe he or SCOTI or N2TRUX will chime in.

abadsvt- you might want to raise the tubs up as your doing the inners. It looks like your truck is a lot lower than Lucy. This little mod let me drop another 1-1 1/2 inches in the rear....

Maybe he or SCOTI or N2TRUX will chime in.

Ask Scoti or N2trux ? Why not ask me? I'm the one that did it!

Re: Need some pictures or advice

abadsvt, that is my step bed, but I am pretty sure the bracketts are in the same positions as fleet. I also put some 1" angle iron on the outside of the frame to fill the gap near the tires, like this

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
