Hedman Headers

I bought a set of Hedman Headers from a buddy. Tried fitting them last night and they are horribly against the shackle. my truck is an 1980 and these were for a 1982-1986... What's the big difference?

Re: Hedman Headers

against the shackle? Are you putting them on a 4wd ? that might be the difference ---- if not -- i'm not sure.

I got a new set of Flowtech that were supposed to fit my truck once and they fit bad as well

I have steered clear of budget headers from then on

Re: Hedman Headers

I bought a set of old cheapo dynomax headers for a 76 2wd with a 350, and they fit it perfect, later on I got rid of the truck and put the headers on the 86 4x4 with a 305, they fit perfect, swapped it for a 350 later, used the same headers.

Re: Hedman Headers

Yeah, 4wd... These were meant for a 4wd also... I guess i'm going to Summit in Akron on Saturday morning to pick up a set of their cheapies (Summit brand)...

I'm going to bring these hedman's up there to give it the eyeball comparison against the Summit Racing ones.

Then put the hedman's on Craigslist...

Re: Hedman Headers

Unless $$$$ is a major issue and/or you don't care about appearance 6 months from now

I'd pop for the ceramic coated ones if i could --- i have spent many frustrating hours on loose, rusty headers in the past and have vowed to never do it again

The Summit price is:
$145.95
Hedman Model Number:
69090

I'd sell them for $75
Could use some Thermal paint since I attempted to put one side on and got a few scratches in the paint. Has all hardware and original box.

Re: Hedman Headers

Yea says they'll fit it.

I'll check with my dad see if he wants em for his truck, and if so I'd like to buy them.
