Re: ordered my new ORD flip shakles today

You won’t be disappointed.

The quickest way I found to remove the OEM rivets is to use a side grinder to cut a line down the center of the rivet then use an air hammer with the flat chisel to beat off the rivet head halves. Once the rivet heads are off, change the air hammer chisel to the center punch to beat the rivets through the frame. With grinder and air hammer it won’t take you but 10 minutes per side to remove the OEM shackle brackets. Without air tools, you will be working for a while.

Since you have lift blocks now, you will probably also need to get new OEM size U-bolts as the threads of the lift U-bolts will probably not go down far enough once the lift blocks are removed.
