help! truck still wont start

I posted up before when i ran out of gas and the truck wouldnt start up, i took everyones advice and no luck. its a 69 c-10 with a 92' 350 and holley 650 on top. Flushed gas out of the cylinders, changed oil, plugs, and wires and put new needle and seats plus a new power valve in it and it still wont run. it cranks but it seems like there is still to much raw gas being dumped in the engine?? anybody have any ideas of where i could have messed up or something that im over looking? any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Travis

If you're getting too much gas and it's flooding on you, something in the carb is doing it.

I'm not familiar with holleys but it sounds like a check valve gummed up or debris in there keeping it from closing off.

This is if you have eliminated spark to the spark plugs, timing, etc...

Re: help! truck still wont start

Are the plugs wet with gas? Do you smell raw gas vapors in the tailpipe? If not, then it's probably not flooded.

I assume you've already verified it's getting a hot spark while cranking, the timing's right and it's not 180 degrees out.

If all the above checks out and you've verified spark and it's not flooded, try dropping a tablespoon or two of raw gas into the carb's primaries and see what that does. If it fires then dies, you've got a fuel supply problem.

If it never fires, then it's got to be an ignition problem.
