Hitch related question. (swb vs. lwb frame)

Hey all,

I need a Receiver hitch for the 68 ASAP, and was looking at a hidden hitch from JC Whitney. The only issue is that it says it fits an 8' bed truck. I was under the impression that the rear of the frames was the same.

Can anyone enlighten me before I make a $130.00 mistake?

Thanks for any info.

Call ECE and order one of their hidden hitches. They are truck guys, and they will be able to tell you about any problems you may run into.

It looks like ECE's hitches are $209. They are powder coated, and come with the fold down license plate frame, wiring, and ball mount.

Re: Hitch related question. (swb vs. lwb frame)

Thanks for the replies guys. The only reason I'm going with JC Whitney is price. Well, that and I can go up there to pick it up, saving a bunch on shipping. I would tend to want to lean in your direction Andy, other than the frame being longer, I can't see where they'd be that much different.

Any other input on this??

Thanks a bunch.

unless they claim no holes needing drilled, I can't see any reason.
What's there return policy?

Does anyone have one of the hidden hitches installed with a blazer tank. Wondering if there is any clearance problems with the filler line going to the side.
