Smile brake pedal,booster,mastercylinder rod adjustment

I'm putting a rebuilt brake booster and new master cylinder on my truck and was wondering where the adjustment(how much play in the pedal) should be? I know I can turn the rod on the back of the booster to adjust but don't know how much play should be in the pedal or where the adjustment should be. Thanks everyone.

Re: brake pedal,booster,mastercylinder rod adjustment

I adjust the rod from the pedal to the m/c so the pedal has about 1/4" play before it pushes the m/c piston. I have never had to adjust the booster to m/c.
