Cab mount/ body mount restore info
Just got a poly cab kit from Jim Carter, nice bushings. Of course, it comes with no bolts. Any one do this recently and document what grade 8 bolts we might need? Would be nice to know, how many, what length, etc. Would save a lot of guess work and trips back to the store. My 1970 chevy truck/blazer factory shop manual on cd shows pic's, but no bolt sizes.

Re: Cab mount/ body mount restore info
Search Back threads its all there in one of them. I bought one set from LMC and went to home depot and got all the bolts to make another set except for the front floorpan bolt.

Re: Cab mount/ body mount restore info
No, nothing yet. Looking at lmc, but don't know if the bolts they list will work with poly bushings? Added up all the bolts, washers, spacers, etc, about $80-$90. I only want to do it once. My first intinct is they will work, but I'm not sure.

Re: Cab mount/ body mount restore info
I called totally stainless a couple weeks ago and they were very help full. I havent put the bolts in yet, they do look like they are correct.
Or buy a few cheap bolts of different lengths and size em up then buy the correct amount. Its not really a tough deal.

Re: Cab mount/ body mount restore info
Here's the old post with sizes listed.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...ad.php?t=82373 Hope it's right cause these are the ones I bought to go with my new body bushings. Going to try & get it all installed this weekend. Like you I did't want to pay $90 extra for a few bolts that only cost $15 for them all. Got most of mine from Lowe's & the 9/16 & 7/16 from a local ag&auto parts store.

Re: Cab mount/ body mount restore info
if you are going to get your own bolts cheeper go to t.s.c (tractor , supply, center ) depending if they have one in your area . they sell all grade bolts by the pound not by the bolt like home depo or lowes .
