Swapping a '69 Grill to '72 grill...

This might sound like a newb question, but if I change out the hood latch support on my '69 C-20 for a '71/'72 support can I easily switch to a '72 grill?
Also a little OT, if anybody could check a manual for the amount of torque on the steering wheel nut, I'd appreciate it. i got a new Grant wheel I want to put in and haven't got a repair manual yet...

all ive found you need to do is swap the latch and bracket... and of course make your wires longer for the 71/2 parklights and get a difrent bumper... but you dont have to do that if you dont like the lights

Re: Swapping a '69 Grill to '72 grill...

I went the other way. I have a 72 and put the 67 front end on it. I had to change the radiator support inorder for the headlights to fit properly. Not sure about the 69 grill to the 72 may have that same problem or not. Good luck with.

Burnoutnova, I take it you have done this swap before?

Rad supports are the same 69-72 so you won't have a problem.

Great, that's exactly what I wanted to hear.
