Blue Thunder no more

Well guys i'm posting this thread to let everyone know that Blue Thunder is no longer mine. About a week ago a guy who said he had the title called me and told me that he wanted his truck back. I immediately called the guy that i bought it from and told him i had a titling issue. He was cool enough to give me my money back and pay me for what i had in to it. Needless to say i was a little bummed out. But here's the good news, the same day this happened i found another one in dallas. After a weeks wait, borrowing my buddy's F250, a vacation day, and a long drive, i now own another 1972 blazer cst 4x4 with the 350/350 set up. It is in a lot better shape than Blue Thunder was and only has 52000 miles on the clock. It is pretty much stock with a decent double wall top and center console. Under the hood everything was there except a carb. The best part of all, I have the title free and clear. I'll post some pics as soon as possible. Later, Mario.

I didn't realize that there were title issues with the truck. Was it stolen? Sounds like it all worked out in the end, except maybe for the guy you bought the truck from...

By the way,

Hopefully Mario won't mind but i'll answer your question for you Bouncy. The actual owner of the truck supposedly abandoned the truck years ago. I actually knew where the truck was a couple years ago and had considered buying it for myself but one day it was gone. A guy in Seguin (nearby town) had bought it for parts and then Mario got a hold of it and was assured that he would get the title. Mario was told that it had been abandoned and when he contacted the owner he said he wanted it back. There were no harsh words or anything. Sounds to me like the owner made some dumb move to let his truck go and then realized later that he really did want it back . Oh well, he has a better truck now ( I went by to check it out today ) and he's alot better off.

Sounds like a new way to get your truck worked on

At least in the end everything worked out for Blue Thunder. Congrats on the new ride!
