Lookin for gauge that works with vaccum pump

bought a vaccum pump to suck my ac, so that I could check for leaks, but no one has r134 line with gauage that will screw onto the end of it, any one know where i can get one. Any help would be great

well you're supposed hook up the vac pump to the ac service gauges. you don't hook it up directly. i may be misunderstanding your question tho. can you more specific? you check leaks with dye and once you have charged it with refrigerant

don't mean to sound like a smart a$$ but you evacuate the system before you put the vaccum pump on it and I agree with combustion on how to hook it up! Are we misunderstanding you?

OK this is what i have a vaccum pump and this hose you have to pump it down for 20 minutes and make sure the gauage does not go back towards zero if it does you have a leak, but my hose does not have a gauge on it that is what i need

autozone used to sell the lines with the gauge in it that would screw on to this, but the have went to the plastic one piece type, so hac advance, and orelly

I think the vacuum pump is WAY better for discovering if you HAVE leaks (no lost gas, just using mother nature), especially if you have more than one. It'll lose vacuum alot faster than it'll blow out the gas. FINDING the leak is a different matter though...
Do you have a Granger near you? I seem to remember getting ac stuff there.... suffering from crs again....

Get a set of AC gauges, as suggested above. AZ, Advance, HF, etc. have them. One line from the gauges will go to the compressor discharge (High) side and one to the compressor suction (Low) side. The center port on the gauge manifold can then be connected to the vacuum pump. Pull the system down as low as you can with the vacuum pump, then close the valves and watch the pressure for at least 30 minutes. If it will hold vacuum for at least that length of time, you shouldn't have any leaks anywhere. If any solvents were used to clean the system, I like to go through this several times to get the solvents to completely flash off so there is no residue in the system. After that, you can add oil if necessary (such as completely flushing the system and replacing the receiver) and charge the system.

Found what I needed, went by a buddy house and he had one. If any body knows who still sell these kind plese let me know, casue autozone, etc has the kind with plastic pieces on both ends. Now i can see if I have a leak, cause it is hot here.
