that's amazing... my van tilt is the same length as my non-tilt truck column...33" or so and the non-tilt truck is made with a longer shaft and not an intermediate.... the longer shaft does have another shaft (intermediate?) with a shear pin but that is 12" or so longer than the van. Yep, just checked the garage since I have about 4 different shafts lying around.

main point is, people use van tilts, yes it's possible and yes it's cheaper than a real truck tilt.
