Aluminum Cleaner
Does anyone know of a good product for cleaning an aluminum intake? It doesnt have to look new, I just want to get some of the brightness back.

A lot of times a general question like this doesn't get a lot of response. When you have a question you should try to give as much information as possible. A couple of things that would make a difference in a response is whether it is installed on an engine or not and whether it is polished or not. Even a brand name can make a difference as they are cast differently and some are easier to clean up than others. Best thing I can suggest is to bead blast it unless it is polished or installed on an engine.... This is not meant to be a flame, but a suggestion, to see you get the maximum responses from your posts. LockDoc

Castrol Super Clean, a good scrub brush and a Pressure Washer ... if you don't have a pressure washer, use the local car wash.

I recently cleaned up an old Edelbrock manifold using an etching wheel cleaner made for unpolished wheels....it worked well....just rememer NOT to use it on polished or finished wheels or anything for that matter unless you want it ruined...

I use eagle 1 wheel cleaner like stated above. Make sure you rinse it with water after a minute or so. Its basicly acid cleaner. Good luck...
