cruise control

My brother has a 84 Scottsdale with cruise and a new Edelbrock on it. Do you need the original carb for the cruise to work or can you make it work with the Edelbrock.

And how many full size trucks did Chevy make in 84?

Re: cruise control

Visit my website. I installed an aftermarket cruise control on a 1406 Edelbrock carb. You need to adapt the cruise control to the carb. Did he use the stock bracket for tv/dent and throttle cables?

Re: cruise control

When I was considering an Edelbrock carb I found an adapter on the summit website to adapt it to the cruise control. It was an Edelbrock part. I don't remember any details, but it did exist.

www.summitracing.com
www.jegs.com also has the same parts.
Visit www.edelbrock.com to find the part numbers.
