Bagging a leaf truck?

Just wondering...since most bagged trucks I see are coils...would removing all but one leaf (to maintain control of the suspension) and installing a bag to take over for the other leaves be possible, and moreso, would it improve the ride at all?

The ability to level the look of the truck out some would be nice too.

Of course...I'm running with ECE 4" drop leaves...and they only have three leaves to begin with, along with a stack of plates over the axle to allow the original U-bolts to work.

I have seen them done that way, but couldnt say how well it works. my guess would be that you will have some wheel hop issues, if you arent running traction bars. i have throught about baggin the longhorn(if I ever get caught up with the $ going into "this old house"). If I were to go that route, I think i would do a custom 2 link setup with some Loooong bars to help with traction issues. Those old trailing arms on the coil trucks really do work nice.........& can be fitted to the leaf trucks

hmmmmm....

you could go with some 4link suspension <----going to be some fun fab work......or you can use a flip kit if the axle isnt already over the leaf and some blocks including shackle and hanger kit. that would slam your truck from the rear max unless you put in airbags or body drop.

I own a 99 s10 with the air ride air over leaf setup. Basically i use it for getting over those tall speed bumps. I get bad wheel hop and the ride is not much improved ( it IS a truck) and only rides better with heavy stuff in the back. My opinion is to go straight to a links setup off the bat.
