went out of town and stopped by flatla autowrecks near tilley, ab to see if i could find a factory lwb with a wood floor. out of maybe 30 of possibly over a hundred 73-87 trucks i found 7 with the wood floor and several factory tachs even one cab completely gutted tach cluster was only thing left. not a single swb in the whole yard tho. owner said ppl buy the whole truck when he does get one. picked up a complete wood floor bed in not bad shape for 200.00 bucks.

That yard of Dales is pretty nice. We used to go out there has kids to crawl over the old mopar muscle he had.

id love to take a tour in a few of his quansets, even guys i know that are real close with dale havent been in them. i know he has several hemi cars, some restored some arent.

Where is this this place located from Tilley? Do you have to make and appointment to go there? May plan on going there this Sat.

take the #1 past brooks heading east, turn off onto rolling hills highway when you see the sign. keep going for 10 to 15 km till you see a small white sign on the left it'll say flata autowreckers 1 km, turn left there. no appointment nessasary but maybe give him a quick call to make sure him or his helper will be there. be prepared to do some walking tho, hes got a bunch of sheep for lawn mowers and most likely wont let you drive around the yard. by the way, its addressed as being in tilley but it isnt, ignore the tilley signs
