Best floor shifter
The TH400 is getting ready to go in but what is the best floor shifter to use with this tranny as far as ease of installation and reliability. Really want something that will also use the hole that my 4-speed will leave behind.

Re: Best floor shifter
If you want to use the origional hole Im guessing Lokar or Genie will be your only options.

Re: Best floor shifter
I did the same thing that you are wanting to do . I ended up using the Lokar Cable Operated shifter. It was not cheap at $250, but I was able to install it using the factory shift boot. There was some fab work, and I still need to finish it up my mounting of the boot itself, but it is drivable and am pleased with it for the most part. Here is an installed picture.

Re: Best floor shifter
I also use the B&M megashifter and realy like it. If you decide to go to a 700R4 later you can use it for that too

Re: Best floor shifter
I am running the B&M Mega shifter on three different trucks. There is no problems and I can shift without fear of hitting reverse at 60 MPH. I change the "T" handles out for the B&M billet ball knob. I like the feel of that better than the "T".
