Exhaust Manifold Bolts
Can I get these at an auto parts store? I was tracing my "knock" sound and I felt exhaust puffing from behind the passenger side exhaust manifold and went to tighten the bolts and I'm missing the second bolt from the back. Can I get a replacement bolt from the parts store? Or will i have to go yardin'? Thanks

It will be a 3/8" x 16 thread bolt. Nothing special, except the length. I don't remember what length they are off hand though. You could get them at a hardware store but I'm not sure of the grade they are either. I would also say, they could be bought from the dealer, but get ready to pay a crazy price for them. GM likes their stuff a lot.
I've probably got some in my shop, but finding them would be next to impossible.

nuts...er..bolts..hehe
I think this might fix my knock sound...i had a '85 elky that the manifold bolt on the driver's side got loose and made a knocking sound. Would the bolts be the same length as the other ones? Or should I just a buy a few of that spec in different lengths and just compare once i get home? I can't see grade 8 bolts costing more then a few bucks all together.

Yep, just compare them to the other ones and get the same length. Grade 8 would work nicely.

I think I'd go grade 5 for exhaust manifold bolt.
