Tie Rods Don't Fit

I have instaled control arms and spindles from a 71 ( disc) into my 64. The tie rod ends from the 64 don't fit the spindles properly and the 71 tierods have a larger threaded end ( 11/16 " ) than the 64's ( 5/8 ")...PLEASE HELP

not sure exactly but are you sure you got a 71 clip not a 73 up?

If it is a 73 up you need to get a custom adapter sleve . CPP makes on check there web page . you can also search for "improtant info for you guys wishing to run 73 up spindles "

or just go back a few pages on the susp board

TIERODS

You need all of the tierods and centerlink from the 71-72 truck.

I think you need the sleve I had the same problem I used 73 spindles on my 72 had a heck of a time getting tie rods to fit I ended up needing a new adaptersleve which came in the dorp spindle kitand a diffirent centerlink because the hole sizes changed somewhere between 70-71
