1970 C10 Asking Price $70,000?

http://www.classyauto.com/v/Chevrolet+C-10/Pickup/53801

Ok...I think I have just found the most expensive C10 in the world. Now I am not saying it's not worth $70,000... I thought it was my duty to let you all know there is a super nice truck that can be purchased for $70,000. I am not sure I want to or I think this truck is for people who are living a different lifestyle than I am living. I'm trying to decide if I want to spend $5000 on a GMC 4x4. All I can say is

It's a really beautiful truck, but not 70K nice IMO. Normally you won't get out of them what you put into them.

Re: 1970 C10 Asking Price $70,000?

Looks like they fat-fingered an extra "0" in there....

I looked at a solid '72 4x4 lwb behind a guy's shop a couple months ago and told him to have the owner call me. This guy calls and says his truck does not run, but he saw mine and it was the nicest one he'd ever seen. So I asked how much for his truck and he said "Ohhh, no less than $17,000". I said "hmmm...I could get two of mine for that!"

What are these guys thinking?

Thumbs down Re: 1970 C10 Asking Price $70,000?

I'd take the 64' for $22,500 first. This does not have the value and is more then likely a ringer set in there to make the others look like great deals by comparison. I personaly wouldn't deal with a person or company like this.

esll.

Re: 1970 C10 Asking Price $70,000?

The six figure truck was built by Fesler that was on ebay. It is light years ahead on the one shown here for 70K. Tryo Trepanier built a LWB for a guy a few years back for a customer to be used as a hauler and I would bet it was over six figures as well. Value is only what someone is willing to pay for it. If he can get that, more power to him. But.....I would dump $70K in a 69 Camaro long before I put it into a 67-72 truck

Re: 1970 C10 Asking Price $70,000?

yeah, that is about a 40,000 ride. Especially if it was home built, like MuscleRodz said, the other two that were built were in fact six-figure trucks. I can fully understand 30-40,000 but 70,000 will build you a real nice pro-touring car and maybe a tow-rig.

Look at the $23.5K truck from Fort Worth, for comparison. Heck the $70K truck only has 3 pix. What's up with that? If you are asking that kind of money, why not show folks some pix?

BTW - for $70K, you think they could find some paint for the master cylinder and proportioning valve....
