A/C problems, HELP!

Well next weekend I am driving 1200 miles in my 70 C20 and am attempting to rebuild my factory A/C. ATTEMPTING. Well I got a new heater core as mine was gone along long time ago (rusted floor pan) and I also got a new compressor (u pull) clutch works great and runs smooth. I also got a new drier and replaced o-rings. hooked up a vacuum pump and only would pump down to 20 and as soon as I turned it off back to zero. So finally my question is, is there a place that is a trend of going wrong with our trucks A/C. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: A/C problems, HELP!

Sounds like you have a leak you need to find. No trends as far as leaks. Could be anywhere.

Re: A/C problems, HELP!

Check the condenser!!!. I thought mine was good untill I hooked the drier lines to it and noticed a little movement on the end. It was broken.
