Exclamation Leave it stock or put air bags on it?

Im stuck, Im not sure whether to leave my 71 stock which I love the look of it or to put it on air bags, I think that it would add something to it that it doesn't have but im not sure? I could use all the input i can get....

I think you'll get better responses if you post these type of threads in the main 67-72 truck board or the suspension board.

I moved it to the main board. me I prefer stock, but you'll get a lot comments supporting both. Do what you want with it.

Do the best of both worlds, bag it but don't lower it

You should be able to do this by using the spacer cups & upper plate in the front & a spacer cup & bag in the rear

You beat me to it... bagged doesn't mean slammed. You can have pretty much any ride height you want, and have the ride of a caddy.

Re: Leave it stock or put air bags on it?

if you bag it and want to drive it at stock ride height, it will be a pretty rough ride, you will have a lot of air pressure in the bags and it will ride like a bronc. i know mines bagged, but i have spindles and blocks as well, but even without to get it stock height it would ride rough. top two are aired out, bottom two are ride height with a nice ride, picture it two inches higher and that's where yours would ride nice.

these trucks don't need vacuum gauges cause they don't suck!

all i want is a little more than i'll ever get
it's better to be judged by 12 than to be carried by 6

with the correct size bags, you can be at ride height with low pressure... it all depends on the size of the bag and the suspention components.

If you love it at stock height leave it alone, it's cheap and easy...

Re: Leave it stock or put air bags on it?

my ride with my slam specialties RE6's in front is very decent when fully aired up... shocks help... in the back i'm gonna run 8" slam bags... re7's and re8's require less pressure to run ride height...
